Bridge To School initiative

The Bridge to School Initiative is not just about helping children cross a river—it’s about building a vital route for an entire rural community. In Giamusu Clan, Weala, Margibi County, the river separates over 300 children from their school also isolates families from markets, clinics, and emergency services. During Liberia’s rainy season, the water rises dangerously, cutting off all access. This initiative will construct a dual-purpose bridge—designed for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic—to ensure:

• Safe Passage for Children, Families, and connect our school to 13 neighboring towns and villages. Parents can accompany their children, attend school meetings, and access literacy programs.
•  Vehicle Access for Community Development – Motorbikes, vehicles, and health care workers can transport supplies easily and reach remote areas more efficiently.
• Long-Term Impact - Reduces isolation, strengthens community resilience, and support economic growth, education, and healthcare access.
